Launched in 2013 by Mike Beasley and Whitney Ferdon, Ignite UX MI follows the Ignite format of 5-minute talks. Presenters speak on a topic accompanied by 20 slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds.

The structure for these short talks allows for the evening to feature a broad range of user experience related topics. The first Ignite took place in Seattle in 2006, and since then the event has become an international phenomenon.

20 Slides @ 15 Seconds Each =
5 Minutes Total Presentation Time

Tany Nagy, Owner of Pulse Design Studio will be attending this year’s event as a featured speaker. Her presentation topic will be:

‘The Art and Science of Storytelling: All communication begins with storytelling. Demand is rising to create captivating content for on-demand audiences faster than ever before.’

The inspiration for this topic comes from the heart and soul of her practice at Pulse Design Studio- a presentation design agency that focuses on crafting messages that begin with a solid foundation and a great story. In today’s content driven world, ‘storytelling’ is gaining widespread popularity but, it’s influence on creating authentic messaging is still a prevalent challenge as new visual platforms emerge and expand across digital and social media communication platforms.

Ignite UX MI will be held in downtown Ann Arbor, MI and is free and open to the public. For a list of all speakers this year, please go to: http://www.igniteuxmi.com/igniteuxmi-2016/

We look forward to having you join us on March 15, 2016!
