Pulse is proud to announce and welcome you to our new office location, conveniently located at
2409 Voorheis St., Pontiac, MI 48341!
Our creative minds couldn’t help but be part of the design process of our new home. So, we had some fun using Google SketchUp as a tool to help portray the “look” and “feel” of Pulse. What we ended up creating was a space that is visually appealing with moving lines, splashes of color and the balance between open collaboration and enclosed sharing spaces.
Formerly known to the community as a salon, the vision of Pulse, with the help of Dory Azar Architect (http://www.doryazar.com), was brought into its new life. Located off of Telegraph Road and Voorheis St., it’s hard to miss the modern style of this building with the undulating zinc metal-paneled awning protruding above the entrance, and eye catching yellow front door!
Carefully designed, the interior of the building is suited to our everyday practices, such as conceptual collaboration, design development, and presentations. Workstations wrap around the perimeter of the open office area and compliment the main desk near the entrance. As designers, we, at Pulse, flourish in an open office environment that allows ideas and concepts to organically weave together. In this way, we can effectively work individually or as a team to produce high quality products for our clients.
Furthermore, an enclosed meeting space piggy-packs the main desk and allows for a more intimate setting for client meetings and presentations. This space is geared with wrap around dry-erase boards, a projection screen, flat-screen TV, and wireless, high-speed access (electronic design credit to Kevin Nagy of Nagy Innovations, Inc.). Clients can work with us in person, or just as easily, virtually.
In addition, a kitchenette provides a little bit of domestic convenience, where hot tea, coffee and even espresso awaits our visitors. Weather permitting, on the tail end of our building there will soon be an exterior deck available as a patio and meeting space. We anticipate this outdoor space to be an opportunity to casually meet with clients, or enjoy our lunch on a nice sunny day, or simply breathe in some fresh air after a successful brainstorming session.
