As part of our dynamic presentation services, motion graphics, animating PowerPoint and videos are a common request we get from clients seeking to tell their story in a different medium. What’s nice about this, is that it allows the end product to be a succinct, thought provoking marketing tool that draws viewers to learn more about your company and brand using timed animation controls and voice over narration to viewers through the piece. In addition, it also offers flexibility and ease of sharing and viewing across multiple portals, such as company websites, YouTube, Vimeo, television and more.

TrueCommerce, a global software technology company specializing in electronic data interchange (EDI) solutions, were seeking to create a video demonstrating their software solutions and customer support services that sets them apart from their competition. Our services for this project included script writing, story-boarding, applying voice over narration, music selection as well as animation controls and timings. Here is a snapshot of one of our storyboards that was developed with the client.

What makes this project jaw dropping, is that the request was made to develop the video in PowerPoint. Why? Because the intent would be to utilize the PowerPoint source from the video to adapt to future presentation materials within PowerPoint – from templates to slide shows, pitches and more. But for Pulse, creating this multi-spanning piece was a welcomed challenge to demonstrate our animation skills and boundaries of what Animating PowerPoint ‘can’ do. This level of interactive storytelling in PowerPoint is hard to believe, but it’s true! Here is a screenshot showing the animation layers and individual slides that were built in PowerPoint to create the video:

Background music and voice over narration were embedded and synced into PowerPoint, which was then exported, using built-in video exporting features to an .avi file. We even utilized PowerPoint’s video and sound editing features during the process, which are also built-in features in PowerPoint.

The final video piece can found on the company’s website by going to: http://www.truecommerce.com/resources/edi-library/videos/edi-for-suppliers

What’s more- this project ended up inspiring a future, second video that we were able to develop for their international offices. Like mentioned earlier, the foundation that was created in Animating PowerPoint was able to adapt itself to future presentation needs. Here is a look at the UK version of the video, found on their homepage banner: http://www.truecommerce.com/uk-en/
