Since 2011, I’ve been attending a conference for presentations- properly called ‘The Presentation Summit’. When people ask me what it’s about, I say, a conference for my industry- presentation design….hey, there’s a conference for everything, right?

Honestly, I discovered this conference through an internet search- and once I went, I was hooked. It’s really hard not to be- it’s on such a different level than you’d ever expect. There’s camaraderie to the nth degree, amazing keynote speakers, and of course a stellar team hosting the event. It’s a conference that blows all others away, and you leave sad knowing that it’ll be another year until you get to do it again.

I thought I’d add my homage to The Presentation Summit, as this Friday we’ll be jetting off for my 4th time, and my designer Theresa’s 1st time. The destination this year will be the sunny, beautiful and must experience city of San Diego. Mind you we’re Michiganders, so we’re digging up our summer clothes (again) as we speak!

Each year the conference for presentations is held in a different city, which has been one of my most memorable personal takeaways. Being able to see a new part of the country throughout these years, and (very fortunately) being able to travel with my better half, Kevin, has added to the amazing experience of attending this conference. Here’s a few highlights that were taken through my lens over the years:

Austin ,Texas, where it all started for me. The food, the music, oh my!

My better conference-half! I’m such a lucky girl….

Next stop, Scottsdale. Getting another star on my badge merited a snapshot. It was getting personal now-seeing my peers again was heartfelt….

…and learning what it takes to be a master of speaking skills against my friend Rob, who took us all to school without breaking a sweat!

And last year, Fort Lauderdale. Right on the beach, and steps away from sea turtle nests waiting to hatch. Unfortunately, my stay wasn’t long enough for that to happen…bummer.

I look forward to reporting to you here from San Diego, and all the wonderful new experiences this year will bring! For more information on this conference, please visit:www.betterpresenting.com
